Software Developer/Engineer (DoD Skillbridge)

Role Overview

As a Software Developer at Pitch Aeronautics, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing features that empower utility operators to efficiently manage and monitor their electrical grids. You will focus on developing robust data integration solutions, designing intuitive user interfaces, and ensuring platform scalability and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement seamless connections between various data sources, including IoT devices, and external databases.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers to create intuitive interfaces for monitoring and controlling electrical grids.
• Architect and develop the platform with a focus on scalability and reliability to handle large volumes of real-time data.
• Create and maintain APIs for seamless communication between the platform and external applications.
• Implement robust security measures to safeguard sensitive utility data.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams including product managers and QA engineers.
• Create algorithms for various power line or drone tasks.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in software development, specifically in data integration or user interface design.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++.
• Familiarity with web development frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js.

Nice to Have

• Proficiency with containerization technologies like Docker.
• Experience with commercial cloud environments including AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• CISSP, Security+, or other DoD 8570 certifications.
• Familiarization with NIST 800-171 and cybersecurity frameworks.
