Role Overview
Join Pitney Bowes as a Graduate Engineer Trainee in a hybrid role based in Pune. This is a contractual (third-party) position for candidates with 0-2 years of experience. We are seeking enthusiastic and self-driven engineers with strong fundamentals and an automation mindset to help build a modern, automation-first Network Operations Center (NOC) focused on DevOps, Automation, and Infrastructure Monitoring.
Responsibilities
- Assist in automation of monitoring and operational workflows through basic scripting using Python or PowerShell.
- Support infrastructure and network change monitoring as part of CI/CD pipelines.
- Work with monitoring and observability tools like Grafana.
- Monitor network, systems, and infrastructure (LAN/WAN, Wireless, VPN, firewalls, cloud) in a 24x7 environment.
- Detect, triage, and respond to alerts and incidents using ticketing tools like JIRA or ServiceNow.
- Perform first-level troubleshooting across network components including routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Maintain accurate incident records, RCA documentation, and update SOPs and runbooks.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Electronics, or an equivalent field.
- 0–2 years of experience (freshers with relevant certifications are welcome).
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and Routing & Switching.
- Basic understanding of Cloud fundamentals (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Familiarity with Linux and Windows operating systems.
- Ability to work in a 24x7 shift-based NOC environment.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
