Forward Deployment Intern

Role Overview

As a Forward Deployment Intern (FDI) or Computer Vision for RavenAI, you are the tip of the spear for our growth. You will regularly travel and deploy directly to customer locations to turn our cutting-edge computer vision product into a living, breathing operational reality within their environments. This is not an insulated R&D role; you own the "Technical Win," leading high-stakes live demos, architecting client pilots, and engineering the mission-critical plumbing required to take ravenAI from PoC to full-scale enterprise production.

Responsibilities

• Lead Pilots & Demos: Drive end-to-end technical execution of pilots on-site, including hardware provisioning and camera stream hookups.
• Embedded Integration & Plumbing: Partner with client teams to integrate ravenAI into infrastructure via backend APIs, data consumers, and webhooks.
• Edge & Hardware Deployment: Install, optimize, and debug software across enterprise servers, GPUs, and NVIDIA Jetson Orin edge devices.
• Technical Pre-Sales & Alliances: Act as a collaborative partner to the sales team and build engineering alliances within client organizations.
• R&D Feedback Loop: Diagnose gaps between lab environments and physical realities and feed structured product requests back to the R&D team.

Requirements

• 0 - 1+ Years in Software Engineering.
• Strong understanding of CV deployment fundamentals.
• Deep comfort building real-time video processing pipelines.
• Proficiency in Unix/Linux environments, Python, and Shell scripting.
• Experience with packaging and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Practical understanding of full-stack plumbing including backend services and APIs.
• Ability to translate complex ML metrics into business impact summaries.
