Data Engineer

Role Overview

Platform Science is seeking a Data Engineer for the Core Product Development team to design and develop data solutions leveraging Power BI and Snowflake. You will transform raw IoT and telematics data into actionable business intelligence by applying advanced data mining, statistical analysis, and building high-quality prediction systems integrated into global software products.

Responsibilities

• Perform Data Mining and Feature Engineering to build and optimize classifiers using machine learning techniques.
• Extend data infrastructure with third-party sources and enhance data collection for robust analytic systems.
• Process, cleanse, and verify the integrity of large-scale datasets for predictive modeling.
• Conduct ad-hoc analysis and build automated anomaly detection systems.
• Collaborate within an Agile development team, participating in Scrum ceremonies and sprint planning.

Requirements

• 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in data engineering, data science, or advanced data analytics.
• Advanced proficiency in Power BI and Snowflake.
• Core coding skills in Python or R.
• Strong experience in IoT analytics, Machine Learning, AI, and time-series analysis using streaming sensor data.
• Solid background in Mathematics and Statistics, including Operations Research, Linear programming, and optimization algorithms.
