Role Overview

As Point72 reimagines the future of investing, our Technology team is constantly evolving our firm’s IT infrastructure and engineering capabilities. We are a team of experts working with open-source solutions, modern cloud architectures, and sophisticated Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions using enterprise agile methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform.
• Manage and optimize foundational platform for AWS/GCP/Azure services including IAM, Virtual Private Cloud networking, and Cloud Security controls.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to automate deployment and operational processes.
• Monitor cloud environments to maintain high availability and security standards.
• Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to the technical roadmap for cloud solutions.
• Implement best practices for cloud resource optimization and cost management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in cloud infrastructure design and automation.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, specifically Terraform.
• Experience of software development in Python.
• Strong experience with AWS/GCP/Azure services such as Virtual Private Clouds, Cloud Storage solutions (S3, GCS), Cloud Connectivity solutions, Serverless compute, and platform tooling such as AWS Lambda.
• Solid understanding of cloud security principles and best practices.
• Familiarity with container orchestration and management tools like Kubernetes.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
