Role Overview
Pretlist's panel-less pivot control technology is transforming the manufacturing and farming industries. As an Embedded Software Engineer (Intern), you will join a growing team working with cutting-edge pivot control technology, contributing to a truly unique project where you dream it and build it.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain embedded firmware in C/C++ for microcontrollers and SoCs
- Develop and debug low-level embedded protocols and interfaces, including UART, SPI, I2C, RS-485, CAN, BSPs and USB
- Design and develop embedded applications on RTOS platforms (FreeRTOS, Zephyr) and/or Embedded Linux (Yocto, Buildroot)
- Optimize firmware for performance, memory usage, power consumption, and reliability
- Design and implement secure boot, OTA update mechanisms, watchdog recovery, and fault handling
- Perform board bring-up, integrate peripherals, and debug hardware–software interactions
- Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables
Requirements
- BE degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Hands-on experience with Embedded C and C++ for core firmware development
- Up to 1 year of experience in embedded firmware development, preferably on Embedded Linux or RTOS platforms
- Hands-on experience with MCUs (ESP32, STM32, NXP, Nordic, etc.) and peripheral protocols (UART, SPI, I²C, CAN, USB)
- Experience in board bring-up, peripheral integration, and debugging hardware software interactions using JTAG/SWD, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers
- Experience in troubleshooting embedded systems and developing diagnostics and debugging tools
- Ability to understand and interpret schematics, power domains, clock systems, and reset circuits
