Associate Software Engineer

Role Overview

Join an autonomous, cross-functional engineering group at Priceline focused on high-impact, high-scale problems. You will own architecture from frontend to backend integrations, collaborating with web, iOS, and Android developers to deliver reliable, user-friendly checkout and search experiences.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to mission-critical projects impacting the evolution of Priceline applications and internal ecosystems.
• Design, build, and scale reusable systems for the Unified Search & Book - Search Platform Team.
• Optimize frontend component performance, layout rendering cycles, and client-side failure recovery.
• Enable real-time customer personalization across high-traffic search paths within an agile environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or an equivalent technical field.
• 2+ years of professional JavaScript/TypeScript experience shipping performant, consumer-facing web projects.
• Deep production-level expertise in React.
• Experience building server-side applications with Node.js and frameworks like Express.
• Proficiency using AI coding assistants like GitHub Copilot or Cursor to accelerate development and debugging.

Nice to Have

• Experience developing, querying, and optimizing GraphQL APIs.
• Knowledge of Java and standard RESTful API integration patterns.
