Job Description
Role Overview
ICT Health is looking for a proactive and technically skilled Junior DevOps & Database Support Engineer to manage application deployments, database support, server infrastructure, monitoring, backups, and production support. You will work with cloud and on-premise environments to ensure the stability of our patient-centric Electronic Health Record platform.
Responsibilities
- Manage application deployments across Development, Testing, UAT, and Production environments.
- Administer and maintain Oracle and/or PostgreSQL databases.
- Monitor application, database, and server health to ensure maximum uptime.
- Perform database backup and restoration.
- Troubleshoot application, database, and infrastructure issues.
- Automate routine operational tasks using Shell, Bash, or Python scripts.
- Manage Linux and Windows servers, including user administration and security updates.
- Monitor server performance, storage utilization, and system logs.
- Configure and maintain web servers such as Nginx, Apache, etc.
- Support cloud and virtualized environments (AWS, Azure, VMware, etc.).
- Manage SSL certificates, Domain Renewal, scheduled jobs (Cron/Task Scheduler), and application services.
- Support security best practices, access control, and vulnerability remediation.
- Coordinate with Development, QA, and Support teams during application releases.
- Maintain operational documentation, SOPs, and deployment guides.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 1+ years of experience in DevOps, Database Support, or Production Support.
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, SSL, TCP/IP).
- Experience working with production environments and incident management.
- Good understanding of backup strategies.
