Cloud Backend Developer - Python, PySpark, Kubernetes & Healthcare Data Integration

Role Overview

Quest Global is seeking a Cloud Backend Developer to design and develop cloud-native backend microservices focused on healthcare data integration. You will build ingestion pipelines for medical and imaging data, ensuring scalable, fault-tolerant, and secure data-transport services within a highly regulated environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop cloud-native backend microservices to collect data from medical, hospital, and radiology information systems.
• Build ingestion pipelines for healthcare and imaging data, including DICOM and HL7 formats.
• Extend platform data-collection frameworks to support new data sources and cloud-based workflows.
• Develop reliable, scalable, and fault-tolerant data-transport services with robust error-handling and monitoring.
• Collaborate with data engineers to ensure data meets schema, integrity, and quality standards.
• Package and deploy services using containers and Kubernetes.
• Contribute to automated build, testing, deployment, and CI/CD processes.
• Ensure services comply with cybersecurity, data-privacy, and regulatory requirements.
• Develop unit, integration, and end-to-end tests and maintain clear documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 4–8 years of experience in backend or cloud software development.
• Proven experience with Python and PySpark.
• Strong understanding of Microservices and REST API design.
• Experience with Kubernetes and containerized deployments.
