Forward Deployed Engineer

Role Overview

The Forward Deployed Engineer is a hybrid customer-facing technical role focused on implementing the QuickReply WhatsApp automation platform. You will design automation workflows, build integrations with customer systems, and ensure smooth technical go-lives by bridging business requirements with technical implementation.

Responsibilities

• Understand customer workflows including lead capture, data storage, and event triggers.
• Design end-to-end WhatsApp automation journeys such as abandoned cart recovery and lead qualification bots.
• Build integrations with platforms like Shopify, CRMs (HubSpot, Salesforce, Zoho), and ERPs.
• Debug technical issues including webhook failures, API authentication, and bot flow breaks.
• Develop custom solutions including data transformation scripts, webhook middleware, and API connectors.
• Own technical go-lives by preparing solution notes and monitoring launches.

Requirements

• Proficiency in APIs and webhooks (REST APIs, JSON, HTTP methods).
• Experience with JavaScript or Python scripting.
• Strong technical debugging and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Ability to perform system design and workflow mapping.
• Experience using API testing tools like Postman.

Nice to Have

• Experience with E-commerce platforms like Shopify.
• Familiarity with CRM tools such as HubSpot, Salesforce, or LeadSquared.
• Knowledge of WhatsApp Business API.
• Experience with automation tools like Zapier, Make, or Google Apps Script.
• Proficiency in SQL and databases.
