Java Backend Developer

Role Overview

We are looking for a passionate and skilled SDE 1 – Java Backend Developer with 2–3 years of experience to join our client's product engineering team on a 6-month Fixed Term Contract. The ideal candidate should possess strong backend development expertise, excellent problem-solving abilities, and hands-on experience in building scalable microservices and APIs in an eCommerce environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java.
• Build and optimize Microservices-based architecture.
• Develop and consume RESTful and gRPC APIs.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best engineering practices.
• Analyse and optimize algorithms with strong understanding of Data Structures, Time Complexity, and Space Complexity.
• Design low-level components using sound Low-Level Design (LLD) principles.
• Work with SQL databases for data modelling, querying, and optimization.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines to support automated build, testing, and deployment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, QA, and DevOps.
• Use Git for version control and collaborative development.
• Deploy and maintain applications on AWS cloud services.
• Participate in code reviews, debugging, and performance tuning.

Requirements

• 2–3 years of backend development experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience in a Product-Based Company is an advantage.
• Strong coding and problem-solving mindset.
• Immediate availability to join the project.
