Job Description – Design Engineering Intern

Role Overview

We are looking for a motivated Design Engineering Intern to join our UAV R&D team. The intern will support the design and development of drone frames, mechanical components, payload systems, and other UAV assemblies within the drone technology industry.

Responsibilities

• Assist in 3D CAD modelling and mechanical design of UAV components and assemblies.
• Create and modify 2D drawings, manufacturing drawings, and technical documentation.
• Develop drone frames, arms, mounts, brackets, payload mechanisms, and other mechanical parts.
• Support prototype development, assembly, testing, and design improvements.
• Take measurements of existing components and create accurate CAD models.
• Assist in DFM/DFA and component optimization for manufacturing.
• Collaborate with R&D, electronics, manufacturing, and testing teams.
• Maintain CAD files, BOMs, drawings, and revision records.
• Support engineering calculations and basic design analysis when required.

Requirements

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Aeronautical, Aerospace, Mechatronics, or Automobile Engineering.
• Basic understanding of Engineering Drawing and GD&T.
• Knowledge of mechanical design principles and materials such as Aluminium, Carbon Fiber, FRP, and engineering plastics.
• Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes such as CNC machining, sheet metal, 3D printing, and composite manufacturing.
• Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings.
• Students or recent graduates interested in UAV, drone, aerospace, and mechanical product development.
