Founding engineer - ML engineering intern

Role Overview

Recollia is a mobile-first medical education platform built for India's NEET PG aspirants and early-career doctors. We are looking for a Remote ML Engineer Intern to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with the founder to contribute to model development, fine-tuning, feature engineering, and building and optimizing agentic pipelines and automation systems that power our clinical LLM platform.

Responsibilities

• Implement, experiment with, and optimize ML, neural network, and fine-tuned model variants.
• Design, build, and deploy agentic workflows and automation jobs including multi-step task orchestration and tool-calling agents.
• Design and deploy Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures and hybrid AI pipelines.
• Assist with data preprocessing, feature engineering, and statistical model evaluation.
• Document experiments, participate in code reviews, and support model/agent integration.
• Collaborate remotely to solve complex problems using quantitative and systems-level approaches.

Requirements

• Pursuing a degree in Mathematics, Computer Science Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or Circuital Branches.
• Strong foundations in linear algebra, probability, statistics, and model fine-tuning.
• Proficiency in algorithms, data structures, and computational complexity.
• Familiarity with building LLM agents, tool use, or multi-agent orchestration frameworks.
• Ability to commit to a full-time (40 hours/week) remote internship with university approval.
