Software Engineering Intern

Role Overview

At Red Hat, our interns are an integral part of the team, participating in day-to-day work and acting as active contributors. We are looking for Software Engineering interns in Pune or Bangalore to work closely with senior mentors and international teams. You will participate in a cohort of interns, working on projects involving technologies like Ansible, RHEL, OpenShift, and AI.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with your mentor to design, develop, and maintain code in Python, Golang or similar programming languages
• Add new features, debug, identify, and track issues in Red Hat products such as RHEL or OpenShift
• Collaborate with wider team members and departments including Quality Engineering, Designers, Product Management, or Documentation
• Network with other talented interns in a collaborative workplace

Requirements

• Currently pursuing the final year of a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or an equivalent discipline
• Working knowledge of written and spoken English
• Basic knowledge of and passion for Software Engineering
• Willingness to use Python, Golang or similar programming languages
• Passion, curiosity, and a desire to create new things and examine internal workings
• Ability to work without the need for current or future visa sponsorship
