Software Engineer Intern

Role Overview

Remotohire is offering a 6-month, full-time unpaid internship for aspiring Software Engineers. This opportunity is ideal for students or recent graduates who want to gain real-world software development experience in a collaborative, remote-first environment. You will work on meaningful, real-world projects within a technology-driven recruitment and remote staffing company.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design, development, and deployment of web or backend applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, product managers, and designers.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and code reviews.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues to improve overall software quality.
• Contribute to ongoing improvements in system performance, reliability, and scalability.

Requirements

• Good understanding of programming concepts and object-oriented design.
• Familiarity with one or more programming languages: JavaScript, Python, Java, or C++.
• Basic knowledge of web technologies (HTML, CSS, React, Node.js, or similar frameworks).
• Understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git/GitHub).
• Willingness to learn, take initiative, and collaborate in a team environment.
• Good communication and time management skills.
