Software Engineer II

Role Overview

Design and develop highly available, low-latency backend cloud services that power innovative Resideo’s connected products and customer-facing applications. You will design, build and integrate scalable REST APIs, own the design and development of software components, and drive technical innovation by delivering scalable, high-performance solutions within a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and integrate scalable REST APIs and microservices.
• Implement messaging patterns and event-driven architectures.
• Own the design and development of software components using best-in-class engineering practices like unit testing and static code analysis.
• Collaborate with product owners, engineering teams, and customer operations.
• Provide L3 support in a production environment to ensure reliability.
• Actively participate in Agile ceremonies and provide technical guidance.

Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on software development experience, including designing and maintaining production-grade cloud services (Azure or equivalent).
• Expertise in C#, .NET, and .NET Core with strong object-oriented design principles.
• Proven experience implementing REST APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
• Experience with cloud relational/non-relational databases such as PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MongoDB, Cosmos, or DynamoDB.
• Understanding of identity management including Auth0, OAuth2, and Azure AD.
• Ability and willingness to provide L3 support in a production environment.
