Back End Developer

Role Overview

At Rythirings, we're doing things differently. This isn't a traditional job or a standard internship—it’s an open collaboration program designed for aspiring backend developers to gain hands-on, real-world experience. If you are self-taught, a boot-camp graduate, a student, or transitioning careers, this is a space for you to write actual production code, build your portfolio, and learn by doing alongside our team.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust RESTful APIs and server-side logic to power web applications.
• Set up and manage databases, write efficient queries, and ensure data security and integrity.
• Troubleshoot server-side issues, fix bugs, and optimize application performance and scalability.
• Use Git and GitHub to manage version control, push backend updates, and participate in code reviews with the team.

Requirements

• Passionate about backend development and eager to learn.
• Solid grasp of at least one server-side programming language such as Node.js, Python, Java, or PHP.
• Familiar with the basics of relational (SQL) or non-relational (NoSQL) databases.
• Curious, driven, and comfortable asking questions.

Nice to Have

• Hands-on experience with backend frameworks like Express, Django, or Spring Boot.
• Experience with API testing tools like Postman.
• Basic cloud deployment knowledge.
