If you are self-taught, a boot-camp graduate, a student, or transitioning careers, this is a space for you to work on actual security challenges, build your portfolio, and learn by doing alongside our team.
Responsibilities
- Track system logs and network traffic to identify potential vulnerabilities or suspicious activities.
- Assist in conducting basic vulnerability assessments and security audits on web applications and networks.
- Investigate the latest cybersecurity trends, emerging malware, and common attack vectors like SQL injection or phishing.
- Help draft security guidelines, document incident response processes, and outline best practices to keep systems safe.
Requirements
- Passionate about cybersecurity and eager to learn.
- Solid grasp of core networking concepts like TCP/IP, DNS, and HTTP/HTTPS.
- Basic understanding of operating system internals including Linux and Windows.
- Familiarity with fundamental security principles like encryption, firewalls, and access controls.
Nice to Have
- Hands-on experience with tools like Wireshark, Nmap, or Burp Suite.
- Regular participation in Capture The Flag (CTF) challenges.
