Job Description
Role Overview
As a Backend Platform Engineer within the Product & Technology department, you will extend the existing Saganova OTT backend to support Android TV, Fire TV, and future connected device platforms. You will work closely with frontend engineers and infrastructure teams to build scalable APIs and media services.
Responsibilities
- Develop Node.js backend services.
- Build and maintain REST APIs.
- Extend existing OTT APIs.
- Implement authentication and authorization using JWT and OAuth.
- Build device registration and activation services.
- Work with MongoDB.
- Integrate AWS services.
- Debug production issues and improve API performance.
- Participate in code reviews and maintain technical documentation.
- Collaborate with frontend engineers during integration.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in backend engineering.
- Proficiency in Node.js and Express.js.
- Strong understanding of REST APIs and Async programming.
- Experience with MongoDB and AWS fundamentals.
- Knowledge of JWT Authentication and OAuth concepts.
- Proficiency with Git and Postman.
