Software Engineering Interns

Role Overview

Samsara interns dive into challenging, real-world projects with the same freedom and responsibility as our full-time engineers. You will work on high-impact engineering challenges across a connected operations platform, ranging from backend infrastructure and data ingestion to full-stack web development, mobile applications, and embedded software.

Responsibilities

• Build backend infrastructure that powers the IoT platform and scales data ingestion.
• Develop full-stack features to create intuitive user experiences and actionable insights.
• Strengthen mobile infrastructure for React Native applications.
• Work on embedded software including edge AI, multimedia frameworks, and real-time data processing.
• Collaborate with product and design teams to iterate on features.
• Participate in customer interviews and use metrics to ensure work translates to real outcomes.

Requirements

• Currently in your penultimate year of study (or second-to-last year of an integrated Master’s / MEng).
• On track to complete a degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Physics, or Data Science with graduation no earlier than Summer 2028.
• Ability to work a hybrid schedule: 3 days per week in the London office.
• Must be available for a full-time, paid internship (not enrolled in school full-time during the internship).
