Software Engineering Intern - SI & Agentic AI Platform

Role Overview

Sanas is pioneering the future of human communication with the world's first real-time speech AI platform. As a Software Engineering Intern, you will join a fast-growing Silicon Valley startup to work on the Speech Intelligence platform, understanding the full lifecycle of how calls move from desktop to insights. You will have the opportunity to drive technical directions and deploy big ideas within an ambitious, generational mission.

Responsibilities

• Work on the Speech Intelligence platform and Portal features.
• Take ownership of scoped tickets end-to-end, including design, code, test, and review.
• Engage with real production incidents, metrics, and customer-facing reliability.
• Practice writing technical notes and documenting architecture.

Requirements

• Pursuing a BS/MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
• Solid programming skills in Python, Go, or TypeScript/React.
• Comfort with APIs, data structures, and debugging.
• Curiosity about distributed systems, AI products, or data-heavy backends.
• Clear written communication skills for notes, PRs, and tickets.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Kafka, Redis, SQL, or ClickHouse.
• Knowledge of LLM prompting, evaluation, regex NLP, or information extraction.
• Cloud basics including AWS S3 and observability tools.
• Prior internship experience or strong personal projects on GitHub.
