Frontend Engineer

Role Overview

Santander Auto Software is looking for a remote Frontend Engineer to join a fully remote software team within the Auto-Finance Domain. You will build Cloud-native, AWS-based, greenfield software, contributing to a state-of-the-art global software platform being rolled out across Europe. This role offers high autonomy and the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, tech-company mindset environment.

Responsibilities

• Developing, implementing and evolving frontend architecture.
• Monitoring and improving frontend performance.
• Reviewing application requirements and interface designs.
• Designing and delivering functional, quality software from scratch.
• Designing functional software including objects and modules.
• Implementing performant software using documented algorithms and optimization methods.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define, design, test, and deliver new features.
• Developing code, performing tests, trials, and quality checks.
• Maintaining and improving systems and software code.
• Bug fixing and improving application performance.
• Continuously discovering, evaluating, and implementing new technologies.
• Gathering and evaluating user feedback.

Requirements

• Sustained professional experience in Frontend development using React.js.
• Experience with Redux, Webpack, and Hooks.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript, CSS, and HTML.
• Production deployment experience working with AWS.
• Experience in Agile engineering practices with a DevOps mindset.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience.
