Backend Engineer

Role Overview

At AvatarX Tech, we are building a next-generation Streaming platform, AI, VFX, CG, and Creator Technology ecosystem. We are looking for a Backend Engineer to help build the core technology platform powering the AvatarX ecosystem. As one of the first engineering hires, you will design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems, APIs, and platform services that support multiple products across AI, creative tools, cloud infrastructure, and enterprise applications.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable backend services and APIs.
• Build secure, reliable, and high-performance microservices.
• Design and maintain database architecture and data models.
• Develop RESTful APIs and platform integrations.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Collaborate with frontend, AI, cloud, and product teams.
• Contribute to software architecture and engineering best practices.
• Write clean, maintainable, well-tested production code.
• Participate in code reviews and technical discussions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Experience with Node.js and modern backend frameworks.
• Experience building RESTful APIs.
• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL or other relational databases.
• Understanding of software architecture and system design principles.
• Experience with Git and GitHub workflows.
• Familiarity with Docker and containerized applications.
• Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
