Product Engineer

Role Overview

As a Product Engineer at Scrunch, you will build and ship product end-to-end. This is a high-ownership role where you will help define what gets built, how it works, and why it matters, working across frontend, backend, and product to turn ideas into shipped features quickly while building scalable systems.

Responsibilities

• Own features end-to-end from idea to production across frontend and backend.
• Translate product ideas into shipped experiences and drive product decisions.
• Build reusable components, abstractions, and workflows to create leverage.
• Use AI tools like Claude, Codex, and Cursor to accelerate development.
• Contribute to architecture and design systems that scale pragmatically.

Requirements

• Experience building and shipping product as an engineer, product manager, or technical designer.
• Strong product thinking with a deep care for user experience and outcomes.
• Ability to move from idea to execution and operate with ambiguity.
• Technical capability to build, learn quickly, and work within a modern stack.

Nice to Have

• Strong engineering background in React or Node.js.
• Experience as a PM or designer shipping technical products.
• Experience building side projects or tools independently.
