Role Overview
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Fresher / Entry-Level DevOps Engineer to join our cloud operations team. In this role, you will help manage, automate, and scale our AWS cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, containerized applications, and monitoring systems. You will collaborate closely with software developers (specifically working with Node.js applications) to ensure smooth deployments, high availability, and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Provision, manage, and maintain core AWS resources including EC2, Lambda, RDS, S3, and VPC.
- Containerize applications using Docker and help deploy workloads on Amazon EKS.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins.
- Write scripts using Bash, Python, or Node.js to automate routine tasks.
- Gain exposure to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
- Support Node.js services and assist with AWS RDS database maintenance.
- Set up and maintain dashboards using AWS CloudWatch, Prometheus, and Grafana.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or related field.
- Strong understanding of core AWS concepts (EC2, Lambda, RDS, S3, IAM).
- Solid understanding of Docker and familiarity with Amazon EKS or Kubernetes.
- Proficiency in Linux/Unix command-line tools and scripting with Bash or Python.
- Basic working knowledge of Node.js.
- Understanding of Git workflows and automated deployment pipelines.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
- Exposure to Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog.
- Familiarity with Helm charts.
- AWS or CKA certifications.
