Role Overview
The ServiceNow Software Engineer is a key member of Shell’s Agile DevOps team, responsible for the development, configuration, maintenance, and integration of ServiceNow solutions. This role spans the full software development lifecycle, including design, programming, deployment, and decommissioning of software and third-party packages. You will serve as a technical expert for the ServiceNow modules under your care, ensuring robust support and continuous improvement of the platform.
Responsibilities
- Deliver software solutions across the full SDLC: design, development, deployment, and maintenance.
- Support and enhance ServiceNow modules such as ITSM, SecOps, and the overall Platform capabilities.
- Perform bug fixes and implement enhancements within Agile sprints.
- Participate in platform upgrades and new feature rollouts.
- Collaborate with PO, SOM, Architecture, and other natural team members for effective delivery.
- Maintain alignment with SDLC best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field.
- Strong software engineering background with 4–7 years of experience.
- Proficiency in HTML5, CSS, AJAX, .Net, Java, Webservices, and Glide Record.
- Experience with Client & Server-side scripting, API integrations, and ACL debugging.
- Experience with SaaS platforms, COTS software, and ServiceNow scripting.
- Familiarity with Agile/DevOps methodologies, CI/CD, and iterative development.
- Hands-on experience with ServiceNow administration, scripting, and integration.
- Development experience in ITSM and SecOps.
