Software Developer - Train IT

Role Overview

As a Software Developer - Train IT, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining diagnostic and data analysis platforms for innovative rail vehicles. You will work on locomotive projects, creating software architectures for data remote transmission and implementing software for embedded systems within a Linux environment.

Responsibilities

• Define system requirements and system interface specifications for Vehicle diagnostics systems.
• Gather, analyze, and structure software requirements to create solution concepts and software architectures.
• Integrate and develop external devices to vehicle control for diagnostics management and landside communication.
• Implement new software for embedded systems as a Linux expert.
• Carry out software integration and testing to ensure functionality on the vehicle.
• Implement application software upgrades using the V-model approach.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Science, or a comparable field.
• Experience in technical development projects.
• Experience in structured and object-oriented software development for embedded systems.
• Knowledge of requirement engineering, configuration, and change request management.
