Role Overview
You'll join our Analyzer team to develop ground breaking front-end compiler technology for Mentor Compilers. In this role, you'll design and implement software components that process multiple Hardware Description Languages—Verilog, SystemVerilog, and VHDL. You'll focus on delivering high-quality solutions that exceed customer expectations while maintaining on-time delivery across all required platforms. Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement front-end compiler components using C++ and flex/bison tools
- Ensure functional quality of released products across all required platforms and mechanisms
- Analyze complex products, solutions, and problems to identify and implement optimal approaches
- Create and document software designs for complicated workflows involving multiple product areas
- Work independently and collaboratively with team members to achieve project achievements
- Mentor and guide colleagues to support successful project completion
- Contribute to the overall quality and performance of the compiler front-end system
Requirements
Required:
- 1 to 4 years of software development experience
- Proficiency in C++, algorithms, and data structures
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Working knowledge of Verilog, SystemVerilog, and VHDL
- Experience developing front-end EDA software
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent professional experience
Preferred:
- Experience with flex/bison parser generators
- Understanding of gate-level digital logic design
- Knowledge of parallel algorithms and job distribution techniques
