QA Manual and Automation Engineer (2–5 Years)

Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled QA Manual & Automation Tester with 3–6 years of experience in software quality assurance. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in both manual and automation testing, with the ability to design test scenarios, execute test cases, develop automation scripts, identify defects, and ensure high-quality software releases. This role requires working according to UK business hours.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business and technical requirements and identify test requirements.
• Prepare test scenarios, test cases, test data, and test plans.
• Perform manual testing including Functional, Regression, Smoke, Sanity, Integration, System, Exploratory, and UAT support.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts.
• Identify, document, track, and retest software defects.
• Perform API testing and database testing using SQL.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and integrate automated testing into deployment processes.
• Communicate testing progress, risks, and blockers to stakeholders.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Defect Life Cycle.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Proficiency with defect tracking tools like Jira or Azure DevOps.
• Hands-on experience with automation frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress.
• Programming proficiency in Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience with API testing using Postman or REST Assured.
• Knowledge of SQL for data validation.
• Understanding of CI/CD and version control tools like Git, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
