WordPress Developer Intern

Role Overview

DETARA LTD is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented WordPress Developer Intern to join our team. The candidate will work on real-world websites and eCommerce projects, helping us develop, customize, maintain, and improve WordPress websites. This role is suitable for someone who has a good understanding of WordPress and wants to gain practical experience working on professional websites.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain WordPress websites.
• Customize WordPress themes and templates.
• Develop and customize WordPress plugins.
• Work with WooCommerce websites and eCommerce functionality.
• Create and modify website pages and layouts.
• Implement responsive designs for desktop, tablet, and mobile.
• Troubleshoot website errors and technical issues.
• Improve website speed and performance.
• Manage WordPress updates, plugins, themes, and security.
• Integrate third-party tools, APIs, and services when required.
• Work with developers and designers to implement website changes.
• Optimize websites for usability, SEO, and performance.
• Maintain and update existing websites.
• Assist with website migrations, backups, and technical maintenance.

Requirements

• Basic to good knowledge of WordPress.
• Understanding of HTML and CSS.
• Basic knowledge of JavaScript.
• Basic PHP knowledge.
• Understanding of WordPress themes and plugins.
• Basic knowledge of WooCommerce.
• Understanding of responsive web design.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
