Role Overview
As an Open Source Developer Advocate, you will act as a bridge between the open-source community and the organization. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing open-source solutions to drive innovation, reduce costs by migrating away from licensed software, and raise awareness of open-source opportunities across the developer community.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop open-source solutions aligned with business needs.
- Build Proof of Concepts (POCs) for technology-agnostic solutions.
- Coordinate and implement open-source migrations with multiple teams to achieve cost reductions.
- Develop open-source migration kits to streamline the developer experience.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and fix issues within open-source platforms.
- Drive innovation and propagate the open-source footprint by staying updated on emerging technologies.
- Build strong relationships with external open-source and developer communities.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with various open-source technologies, coding systems, and platforms.
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to gather requirements and propose effective open-source solutions.
- Experience in building POCs and driving technological innovation.
- Proven ability to coordinate with multiple teams for large-scale implementations.
