Role Overview

As a Specialist Software Engineer - Application Tester, you will be responsible for ensuring high-quality software delivery through rigorous testing standards, test architecture design, and continuous improvement of quality processes. You will work across the development lifecycle to implement automated testing, ensure security compliance, and optimize system reliability.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate understanding of quality standards, maintainability, and testability.
• Apply logical thinking and fault-finding techniques to investigate and diagnose issues.
• Design and implement tests across all levels of the testing pyramid.
• Ensure security controls are applied and integrated into requirements.
• Utilize risk-based testing techniques to plan approaches across multiple teams.
• Architect for scale and performance while balancing design and delivery.
• Innovate in testing areas by analyzing data to improve test suites and observability.

Requirements

• Proven experience in software testing and quality assurance.
• Ability to work within a CI/CD environment and deliver software as part of a team.
• Experience with non-functional testing including load, security, and UX/AX.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle complex, unfamiliar projects.
• Degree level qualification or equivalent professional experience.
