Specialist Software Engineer - Devops

Role Overview

A Specialist Software Engineer delivers features for a Product in a business chain. As a member of a Feature Team, you will work with autonomy and a focus on continuous improvement, implementing DevOps/SRE best practices to ensure high availability, observability, and automated infrastructure management.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage continuous deployment of software (CI/CD) using Helm and Jenkins.
• Manage Azure Kubernetes Services (AKS) and other Azure services using Terraform.
• Ensure system uptime through monitoring, alerting, and observability of Kubernetes systems.
• Use Python scripts to ensure high availability in Postgres clusters and automate secret management via Vault.
• Automate DNS creation, certificate management, and APM integration using APIs and init containers.
• Handle large-scale repository migrations and service rebuilds via automation.
• Provide technical guidance, leadership, and mentoring to the team.
• Work within agile practices such as Scrum and Kanban.

Requirements

• 4-7 years of DevOps experience required.
• Strong understanding of Linux systems and basic networking concepts.
• Proven experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and orchestration.
• Proficiency in Python or Groovy.
• Experience with Terraform and Ansible for infrastructure as code.
• Experience with GitHub, Jenkins, and Sonar.
• Ability to work effectively within a distributed team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
