Specialist software engineer - Java FSD

Role Overview

As a Specialist Software Engineer, you will independently design components, develop code, and test scenarios using software craftsmanship principles. You will deliver high-quality clean code across the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) within an Agile environment, while also providing Level 2/Level 3 production support and interacting with business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Independently design components, develop code, and test case scenarios.
• Deliver on all aspects of SDLC in-line with Agile and IT craftsmanship principles.
• Work with development teams to define and implement APIs and data access rules.
• Communicate with customers, stakeholders, and partners regarding documentation and process improvements.
• Assess production improvement areas and automate repetitive activities.
• Perform Level 2/Level 3 production support and maintain production processes.
• Increase coverage of data models, data dictionaries, and data pipeline standards.

Requirements

• 4 to 5 years of relevant experience in Java.
• Deep expertise in Core Java, Spring Boot, and ReactAdmin.
• Knowledge of Angular or React.js is a plus.
• Good knowledge of RESTful API implementation.
• Experience in problem management and supporting production applications.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile, and Continuous Delivery (CD).
• Solid fundamentals in Object Oriented design and Design patterns.
• Exposure to Oracle SQL, SQL Server, or other RDBMS.
• Experience with unit testing using JUnit or equivalent.
• Experience in the Investment Banking domain is a plus.
