Specialist Software Engineer - Production Support

Role Overview

As an Individual Contributor, you will be responsible for creating, updating, and executing automation tests to ensure application quality. You will work closely with requirements to develop test scenarios, analyze defects, and continuously improve automation frameworks while following industry best practices.

Responsibilities

• Create, update, and execute automation tests using UFT.
• Understand application functionality to create comprehensive test scenarios.
• Develop test scripts based on use cases and requirements.
• Analyze defects, communicate findings, and follow them through to closure.
• Maintain test suites across various application releases.
• Research and constantly improve automation frameworks.
• Follow automation best practices.

Requirements

• BE / B.Tech / MCA in Computer Science, Electronics, or Electrical Engineering.
• 2-4 years of experience in Software Testing with hands-on experience in Test Automation.
• At least one year of hands-on experience developing test scripts with UFT Automation Tool.
• Experience in building functional test cases based on requirements.
• Basic knowledge of Derivatives and Equities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of test case design techniques and testing methodologies.

Nice to Have

• Experience in the Investment Banking sector.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and exposure to CI/CD tools like Jenkins.
• Experience with Test Management tools such as ALM or Test Management for Jira (TM4J).
• Database skills in MySQL and SQL Server.
