Test Associate Engineer

Role Overview

SonicWall is a cybersecurity forerunner with more than 30 years of expertise, providing relentless security against evasive cyberattacks across cloud, hybrid, and traditional environments. As a Test Associate Engineer, you will contribute to the development and maintenance of tools that ensure robust security solutions for enterprise, government, and SMB clients worldwide.

Responsibilities

• Maintain existing tools infrastructure and work on improving scalability
• Rapidly develop prototypes to identify the best set of technologies and toolkits for new feature development
• Collaborate with other engineers on code reviews, test case reviews, and process enhancements
• Write functional and design specifications and coordinate with technical publications for documentation
• Collaborate and communicate effectively regarding requirements and status to meet deadlines
• Design, develop, and test tools using Python and other scripting languages

Requirements

• Ability to work independently as a self-starter and a strong team player
• Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills
• Strong sense of ownership and ability to multitask in a fast-paced, agile environment
• Experience with AWS infrastructure is a big plus
• Knowledge of Internet Security, Firewalls, AV, and Anti-Spam technologies is a plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of various software licensing models and associated restrictions
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related area preferred
• At least 1 year of related industry experience preferred
