Software Developer (Python, Skywise, Pyspark, AWS)

Role Overview

Sopra Steria is seeking a highly skilled Software Developer with 6-8 years of total experience to join our team. This role involves developing, testing, documenting, and maintaining reliable, scalable, and secure web applications. You will work across the entire development lifecycle, translating business requirements into technical solutions within Agile, SAFe, or Kanban environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide regular reporting on status to required stakeholders.
• Deploy and implement highly available, scalable, maintainable, monitored, and secured solutions.
• Develop, test, document, publish, maintain, and operate reliable and secure web applications.

Requirements

• Bachelor or Master Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a relevant field.
• Minimum of 5-6 years of development experience.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and/or Spark with at least 3 years of working experience.
• Solid understanding of data modeling and data warehousing concepts.
• Experience with data integration, transformation, and visualization tools.
• Full stack knowledge experience in Python and PySpark.
• Experience with the Foundry platform, including Slate, Code Workbook, and Code Authoring.
• Knowledge of Spark and Spark-SQL with Python.
• Exposure to APIs and RESTful Web-services.
• Solid experience in Unit Testing and test-driven development methods.
• Working experience in Agile Scrum, SAFe, and/or Kanban projects.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
