System Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to manage, maintain, secure, and optimise our production and staging infrastructure across OVH Cloud and AWS environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for Linux server administration, application deployments, containerised workloads, CI/CD pipelines, networking, monitoring, databases, and production support while working closely with the development team to ensure reliable, secure, and scalable systems.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Linux servers and optimize performance.
• Deploy and manage applications built with React, Next.js, Node.js, NestJS, and Nuxt.js.
• Build and maintain Docker images and manage Docker Compose for multi-container applications.
• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and self-hosted runners.
• Configure Nginx as a reverse proxy and manage routing and connectivity.
• Manage DNS, domains, and SSL/TLS certificates via Let's Encrypt and Cloudflare.
• Maintain infrastructure monitoring using Prometheus and Grafana.
• Deploy and manage PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Redis databases.
• Manage cloud infrastructure across OVH Cloud and AWS.
• Provide production support, incident management, and disaster recovery.

Requirements

• Proven experience in Linux systems administration (e.g., CentOS).
• Hands-on experience with Docker and container orchestration.
• Proficiency in CI/CD automation and Git workflows.
• Experience managing cloud environments like AWS or OVH Cloud.
• Strong understanding of networking, firewalls, and Nginx.
• Ability to manage and troubleshoot PostgreSQL or MongoDB databases.
