Assoc Software Engineer

Role Overview

The Associate Software Engineer supports the Customer Assets Management Team by developing and maintaining solutions for Customer Asset Services and Southwest Bank. This role involves designing, writing, testing, and implementing technically sound applications that align with customer requirements and business objectives, while supporting cloud transformation, platform modernization, and AI-assisted development.

Responsibilities

• Apply software development and testing skills to solve complex problems.
• Leverage technical knowledge to inform business domain requirements.
• Troubleshoot program and system malfunctions across environments, including production.
• Evaluate code for validity, structure, and industry standards.
• Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine design feasibility.
• Contribute to team-level technical discussions and follow Agile delivery processes.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Entry-level experience in software engineering.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language.
• Ability to analyze complex technical problems and translate them into viable solutions.

Nice to Have

• Experience with AWS services including S3, Lambdas, Elastic Cache, Step Functions, CloudWatch, DMS, Event Bridge, and SQS.
• Experience with Terraform and CloudFormation.
• Experience with SQL, No-SQL (DocumentDB), and Confluent Kafka.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, and ReactJS.
• Experience with GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
