Role Overview

Sportons Media is looking for a skilled and creative WordPress Web Developer to build, maintain, and optimize our websites and digital platforms. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with WordPress and be comfortable working on website development, customization, performance, and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and update websites using WordPress.
• Customize WordPress themes, templates, and plugins according to business requirements.
• Build responsive and mobile-friendly websites.
• Manage website content, pages, forms, menus, and media.
• Integrate third-party plugins, APIs, payment gateways, and other web tools when required.
• Optimize websites for speed, performance, SEO, and security.
• Identify and fix website bugs, errors, and technical issues.
• Perform regular website backups, updates, and maintenance.
• Implement basic HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP customizations.
• Coordinate with the design, marketing, and content teams to implement website requirements.
• Ensure websites are user-friendly, responsive, and visually consistent across devices.
• Monitor website performance and recommend improvements.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with WordPress.
• Good knowledge of WordPress themes and plugins.
• Knowledge of Elementor / other page builders.
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.
• Understanding of responsive web design.
• Knowledge of SEO and website performance optimization.
• Experience with domain, hosting, SSL, DNS, and cPanel management.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
