Software Engineer II

Role Overview

Spreetail is looking for a Software Engineer II to join our team. As a Software Engineer II, you will work independently on moderately complex tasks across backend and data domains. You’ll build, optimize, and maintain services and pipelines that power our next-gen advertising platform. Responsibilities

• Deliver backend services and data features that meet performance goals and support the team’s roadmap.
• Take ownership of your code from design through production, ensuring reliability and maintainability.
• Bring a problem-solving mindset to unfamiliar challenges and adapt quickly.
• Continuously improve your own technical skills and contribute ideas that make the team better.
• Work closely with engineers, PMs, and stakeholders to turn requirements into reliable features.
• Participate actively in code reviews and team planning.

Requirements

• 2-5 years of backend development experience.
• Proficiency in Python and experience with FastAPI or similar frameworks.
• Experience with the Modern Data Stack including DBT, Snowflake, S3, or AWS Glue.
• Practical experience with distributed systems such as Kafka, Redis, and PostgreSQL.
• Ability to optimize services and queries for speed and reliability.
• Experience building performant APIs to serve large datasets.
