Software Engineer, Intern

Role Overview

As a Stripe intern, you will work on real, legitimate projects that touch many parts of our operations and stack, such as rebuilding statistics aggregation services or building new service discovery systems. You will work alongside exceptional people to tackle important projects that increase global commerce while gaining experience in systems design and testing.

Responsibilities

• Write software that will be used in production and has meaningful impact to Stripe
• Give and receive technical feedback through code reviews or design discussions
• Collaborate with other engineers and cross-functional stakeholders to proactively seek and incorporate feedback
• Learn quickly by working with your intern manager and teammates effectively

Requirements

• Pursuit of a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree in Computer Science, Math, or a related discipline
• Experience and familiarity with programming through side projects, classwork, or previous internships
• Experience with multi-person projects or open source contributions
• Ability to learn unfamiliar systems through independent research and mentorship
