Role Overview

Chegg India is seeking an Intern - AI-Native Software Engineering to join its core strategic technological engine. As part of a massive structural shift toward an AI-native learning ecosystem, you will act as a fully functional contributor, integrating AI-assisted development tools into production-ready workflows. You will work on high-stakes cloud architecture, backend development, and LLM orchestration to build experiences for millions of global users.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and ship end-to-end user-facing product features from scratch.
• Build responsive interfaces using React.js/Next.js and develop performant microservices in Spring Boot, Node.js, or Python.
• Scale service applications across cloud environments using AWS services.
• Manage analytical workflows and write performance-optimized SQL statements on PostgreSQL or MySQL databases.
• Develop comprehensive unit, integration, and end-to-end structural UI tests.

Requirements

• Currently in the final year of, or completed, a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related discipline.
• Graduating in the 2026 or 2027 cohorts, or recent graduates available for immediate internships.
• Strong foundational command of Python, Java, or Node.js.
• Thorough understanding of Data Structures, Algorithms (DSA), and software design principles.
• Comfort with AI-assisted development platforms like Claude or GitHub Copilot.
• Solid understanding of collaborative workflows using Git and GitHub.
