Job Description
Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Z/OS Consultant (DevOps) to join our team immediately. This role requires a strong background in Application Development or System Programming on the IBM z/OS platform, coupled with modern DevOps practices.
Responsibilities
- Utilize Groovy Scripts for automation and scripting tasks.
- Manage configuration and infrastructure as code using YAML.
- Maintain source control using GIT and manage repositories (Repos).
- Debug and troubleshoot failures within CI/CD pipelines (Pipeline).
- Manage code integration using various Branching strategies.
- Engage in clear, concise communication with stakeholders and customers.
Requirements
- Proven experience with installation and migration on IBM z/OS and USS.
- Proficiency in writing Groovy Scripts.
- Experience with YAML for configuration management.
- Strong GIT experience.
- Ability to debug pipeline and build failures.
- Familiarity with branching strategies.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of DBB, COBOL, CICS, PL/I, JCL, VSAM/QSAM, and DB2.
- Working knowledge of SCM products competing with IBM z software.
- Experience implementing and using IDz, IBM Wazi Deploy, IDD, Artifactory, ADDI, and zD&T.
- Knowledge of DevOps transformation and pipeline orchestration.
- Experience with Applications Development on IBM Z.
