Product Engineer (Intern)

Role Overview

Surgy Innovation Labs is looking for a Product Engineer (Intern) for a 3-month internship with a path to full-time conversion. This is a high-accountability role where you will own the entire product lifecycle—from discovery and requirements to design, build, test, and demo—for specific modules within our AI-first Hospital Operating System. You will work in a remote-first environment based in Bengaluru, utilizing AI coding tools and vibe prototyping to build real-world healthcare SaaS solutions.

Responsibilities

• Run discovery conversations with hospital stakeholders to surface workflow problems and translate findings into product bets.
• Own the PRD for assigned modules, resolving ambiguity and breaking requirements into epics and stories in Plane.
• Act as a direct point of contact for hospital stakeholders, managing client communications and UAT sessions.
• Maintain a predictable weekly cadence including standups, sprint reviews, and stakeholder updates.
• Design user-oriented workflows and prototype fast using Figma or AI-assisted prototyping.
• Build and ship end-to-end features across frontend and backend using AI coding tools.
• Perform thorough testing and collaborate with the QA Automation team to ensure code quality.
