Software Dev Engineer I

Role Overview

As an SDE I at Swiggy, you will own the end-to-end design and architecture of complex systems. You will co-own the technology vision, partnering with product and business teams to translate specifications into high-level and low-level designs for mission-critical applications.

Responsibilities

• Drive the adoption of best practices through regular participation in code reviews, design reviews, and architecture discussions.
• Implement long-term technology visions and create architectures for new solutions.
• Experiment with new technologies and tools to drive impact.
• Decide on technology and tool choices for the team.
• Write maintainable, scalable, and efficient code following industry standards.

Requirements

• B.Tech/M.Tech in Computer Science or equivalent from a reputed college.
• 1–3 years of experience in a product development company.
• Strong knowledge of CS fundamentals, algorithms, and data structures.
• Strong design skills involving data modeling and low-level class design.
• Proficiency in Object Oriented Programming (OOP) and design patterns.
• Hands-on experience with databases and Linux/Unix platforms.
• Experience following SDLC in an Agile environment.
