Android Developer

Role Overview

We are seeking an Android Developer for a client-facing role. The ideal candidate will contribute to the development of Android applications and SDKs while leveraging AI-powered development tools to enhance engineering productivity. You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of code quality, security, and architectural excellence in a remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development of Android applications and SDKs.
• Scale mobile team processes using Clean Code principles, CI pipelines, and Test Driven Development.
• Advocate for the Android platform and lead technical vision.
• Mentor junior team members.
• Deliver high-quality apps with enhanced features and improved turnaround times.
• Participate in code reviews and team meetings.
• Leverage AI-powered development tools to accelerate coding, debugging, and documentation.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience working with key Android technologies.
• Fluency in Java.
• Knowledge of SQLite and REST APIs.
• Strong UI development skills including complex view trees and animations.
• Experience with TDD, BDD, and debugging.
• Basic cryptographic knowledge.
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted software development tools (e.g., ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, Gemini, Claude, Cursor).
• Degree in Computer Science (MCA, BE, B.Tech).
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for client-facing interactions.
