QA Engineer II - Manual

Role Overview

Synaptic is a series B-funded India and US-based SaaS start-up bringing the power of alternative data to the world of investing. We are looking for a QA Engineer II - Manual to ensure the quality of our mobile app and website platforms, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software to our global venture capital and hedge fund clients.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end testing of features on mobile app and website.
• Writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
• Identifying, reproducing, and reporting defects and working with teams to resolve issues.
• Applying software QA methodologies throughout the SDLC, pre- and post-release.
• Engaging in root cause analysis, defect reporting, and triaging.
• Communicating with project stakeholders to align testing with requirements.
• Participating in the planning and estimation of testing efforts.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in software testing of both Web and Mobile Applications.
• Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies.
• Experience with test case management and bug-tracking tools.
• Hands-on experience with tools like Postman, Charles, Jira, and Testrail.
• Understanding of UI and API protocols, sessions, cookies, and browsers.
• Experience developing high-quality test strategies and test plans.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Nice to Have

• Previous experience working with SQL, ETL, Security, and Performance testing.
