GIS Developer (Backend Web Developer)

Role Overview

The GIS Developer (Backend Web Developer) is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining secure and scalable web-based applications. The role involves full lifecycle participation—from understanding requirements and writing clean, efficient code to ensuring application performance and security.

Responsibilities

• GIS Development frameworks and mapping.
• Develop responsive, cross-browser compatible web applications using modern frameworks and technologies.
• Build RESTful APIs and integrate backend services with front-end interfaces.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers to transform wireframes and mockups into functional applications.
• Maintain and optimize existing web applications to enhance performance and user experience.
• Write clean, modular, and well-documented code following coding standards and version control practices.
• Conduct unit, integration, and regression testing to ensure application reliability.
• Implement secure coding practices and address vulnerabilities as identified in security assessments.
• Deploy applications to cloud or on-prem environments and support post-deployment activities.
• Troubleshoot issues, debug code, and implement enhancements based on stakeholder feedback.
• Collaborate closely with other developers, analysts, and testers to ensure end-to-end delivery.

Requirements

• Educational Qualification: BCA, MCA, BE, B.Tech, or M.Tech.
• Experience with GIS, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React.js, or Angular.
