Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Analytics Engineer with strong expertise in DBT, Snowflake, and SQL to build scalable data models, optimize data warehouse solutions, and ensure high-quality, trusted data. This is a remote position requiring 4-8 years of experience.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain scalable data models using DBT.
- Develop modular SQL using Jinja templating and follow DBT best practices.
- Implement DBT testing strategies and data quality checks.
- Work extensively with Snowflake for data warehousing and analytics.
- Design dimensional, Star/Snowflake, and Data Vault models.
- Perform query optimization and Snowflake performance tuning.
- Implement role-based access and security controls.
- Work with Kafka or similar event-streaming technologies for real-time data ingestion.
- Use SnapLogic for ETL/ELT workflow design, orchestration, and monitoring.
- Manage code using Git and GitHub.
- Implement CI/CD using GitHub Actions for DBT testing, deployment, and documentation.
- Maintain data validation, lineage, and governance processes.
- Create and maintain documentation using DBT Docs.
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to understand data requirements.
Requirements
- 4–8 years of relevant experience as an Analytics Engineer or Data Engineer.
- Minimum 4 years of experience specifically as an Analytics Engineer.
- Strong hands-on expertise in DBT, Snowflake, and SQL.
- Experience building scalable and maintainable data models.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to explain complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
